Steven Alex Jones is finally here!

A week over due but he's here at last! He was born by c-section on May 9th at 09:09am and weighed 7lb 8oz. Having engaged 2 weeks before hand he decided the week he was due to dis-engage and rise up so when I had the section they had to push right under my breasts to get his head out as he had gone into hiding so high up, which explained why I'd been having problems breathing when I was lying down. I was let out of hospital on the Sunday and had my wire taken out this morning so now I am finally able to move about and enjoy spending quality time with Steven, Naj and Dave. Naj has taken really well to Steven and every time he makes a sound Naj rushes over to check Steven is ok in his moses basket and even gently reaches in to hold his little hand. Dave has been making sure I don't try to over do things and has taken over all the housework and nappy changes to ensure that I don't do any bending or stretching so I feel totally spoilt but he is insisting that he will do it all and won't let me do anything for at least another week at the minimum.

Thanks all! Having Steven is great been fab so far although we did have a bit of a scare yesterday. I forgot to take the painkillers they gave me and 2hrs after I should have taken them I was in so much pain I couldn't move. Thought I'd burst my stitches at first, took a bath to try and ease the pain which Dave had to help me in and out of but it didn't work so after taking my painkillers I went to bed for a while and luckily when I woke up the pain had gone but wow...never felt anything like that! Now I've put reminders on my phone to remind me to take them every 6 hours like I should as I don't want to go through that again, or put Dave through it again as he was so worried he wanted to call the mw. Problem is, in hospital they come around and give you the tablets but when you are at home it's so easy to forget as it's no a part of the normal daily routine. Won't be forgetting again though!

Thanks! Can't believe he will be 2 weeks old on Friday! This time around I am aware of how fast they grow so luckily I've unpacked and washed all of Nathan's old clothes, half of which were never even worn. The boys have more clothes than me now. Lol!
